COMMUNITY RELIEF DINNER ...
A SCRUMPUOUS SUCCESS
August 24, 2016
The Cedar Key Community Relief Fund organizers heaped up a delicious dinner last evening, August 24, at Christ Episcopal Church. Proceeds of the Fund help area residents with gas cards and other essentials they are sick and in need.
For the price of a mere $7, a delicious dinner was provided. Jenny Pinto, complete with her Wonder Woman socks, cooked the very tasty pork. Ken Young baked the delectable corn bread and made the fluffy, lightly-spiced rice. A host of folks, including Dottie Haldeman, baked desserts of chocolate marble cake dripping with frosting, peach cobbler, brownies, and more. Sue Seyfarth, Young, and haldeman served the feast.
Pinto took special care to thank everyone for their participation in the event. A more significant cause, she said, would be hard to find.
