Cedar Key Aquaculture Association’s
Annual General Membership Meeting

The Cedar Key Aquaculture Association invites the clam farming community to participate in their annual general membership meeting. The meeting will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at the Community Center located on 809 Sixth Street in Cedar Key.
 
From 5:30 to 6:30 pm, members can complete their annual business with the Association by renewing their 2015-16 membership and Anchor Hole agreement, electing Board of Directors for the upcoming year, and getting caught up on the various activities the Association has been conducting over the past year and plans for the upcoming year.
 
From 6:30 to 8:00 pm, updates will be provided by Kal Knickerbocker, Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Division of Aquaculture, and Dr. Huiping Yang and Leslie Sturmer, University of Florida IFAS. Dr. Andrew Kane with UF Environmental and Global Health Department with speak about “Vibrio bacteria: The good, bad, and ugly.”
 
A dinner buffet, provided by The Island Room, will be served at 6:30pm. At the conclusion of the meeting, the winner of the 100,000 clam seed raffle will be announced.
