RECEIVE SOIL,  GIVE THANKS
February 10, 2018

This week the Cedar Key Ag classes and FFA Chapters recently acquired a dump truckload of soil for our garden programs donated by the Florida Forest Services.  We are so grateful for this gift of soil that will “make our gardens grow.”  We will be implementing it into our existing gardens and will be creating four new small raised beds.  Garden soil is extremely expensive and a much-needed resource here in Cedar Key; the quantity and quality we received are by far superior to what we could acquire had we been left to purchase the garden soil.  We sincerely thank Mr. Bobby Cahal, Jeff Bradham, and Joe Bishop for the generous donation of the soil as well as their time and efforts.  We have already spread the load of soil and are excited to plant some seeds.

Thank you,
