ANNOUNCEMENT

Cedar Key High School graduating seniors Jennifer Dibell and Daniel Bainbridge are this year's recipients of $1000 Scholarships awarded by the Cedar Key Lions Club.

Jennifer Dibell, daughter of Vicki and Kenny Dibell, is the 2007 recipient of the Cedar Key Lions Club PH Day Academic Achievement scholarship. Jennifer plans to attend the Florida Keys Community College working towards a degree in Nursing.

Daniel Bainbridge, son of James Bainbridge III and Phea Bainbridge, is the first recipient of the Lions Club's new community service scholarship award. Daniel plans to attend Santa Fe Community College.

The Lions Club members, whose motto is "We Serve," established the new "Good Citizen" scholarship this year to be awarded to a graduating senior continuing on with college or vocational education who has demonstrated outstanding leadership in community service and good citizenship.

"We're proud of our seniors and are pleased we can help further academic and vocational goals through our scholarships," said Lions Club President, Judy Duvall.
