Molly Parker is an eight and 1/2 year old Jack Russel Terrier, owned by Phil and Nancy Parker. Molly enjoys going for rides on the golf cart with Nancy and Phil, and she loves to defend the bird feeder from squirrels. Until recently she liked to swim in Goose Cove near the Airport Road Bridge. An alligator alert has curtailed the swimming in the Cove.

Bronson Soldier Killed in Afghanistan To Be Brought Home Today

The body of a Bronson soldier killed August 31 in Afghanistan will be taken to Williston this evening in an escorted motorcade.

The body of Pfc. Jamie Page is expected to arrive at the Gainesville Airport at approximately 5:45 p.m., and the motorcade will travel on Waldo Road to State Road 121 to Williston, then on to Noble Avenue to the Knauff Funeral Home.

A memorial service for Bob Krall will take place on Saturday, September 11 at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church of Cedar Key.

Robert Wilhelm Krall passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on August 6, 2010. He was 92 years old. Bob was born in Sublette, WY in 1918 to Elise Saxe Krall and William Krall, both German immigrants. His father worked in the Sublette coal mine, and his parents homesteaded in the Fontenelle Basin, where his father lost his life in a water dispute when Bob was two years old. Bob was raised by his resilient and determined mother, who subsequently proved up on the homestead and then opened a boarding house in Kemmerer, WY. She called him "Sonny."

A Chiefland man is facing several charges stemming from his activities at a weekly bass tournament in Dixie County.


Cedric Jerome Perry (DOB 07/03/79) confessed to catching fish in other lakes and then bringing them to the weigh-in at the bass tournament at the Joe Anderson Boat Ramp in Old Town, according to Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) officers.
