GARDENING WORKSHOP: A CORNUCOPIA OF TECHNIQUES AND TIPS

Levy County Extension with the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS) to host a gardening workshop:

Improve your skill with bulb propagation during the hands-on, make-n-take bulb chipping session. Discussion and instruction on cool season vegetables includes sowing seed and potting up edibles. Demonstrate and discuss trees from the roots up. Make a tabletop composter working with nature’s wonder, the worm.
Practical application encourage participants to take an active role in the learning process. This workshop makes a wonderful gift for the curious gardener. Invite your friends. This is an outdoor event. Wear close toe, secure footwear.
In partnership with Levy County Board of County Commissioners, Suwannee River Water Management District and Levy Soil and Water Conservation District, participants will practice gardening techniques, enhance skills and deepen gardening knowledge.4
