Damage Reporting: Residents and visitors are HIGHLY encouraged to report any storm related damage through our online portal at https://levydisaster.com/report-storm-damage.php or through the Emergency Management app.

Sandbags: Sandbag locations are open at the following areas. All locations are self-service only:

• Town of Inglis Municipal Building 26 HWY 40 West until 2pm. After 2pm, go to the Inglis Fire Station
• Yankeetown-Yankeetown Water Plant-Until further notice
• Bronson-Bronson Town Hall-Until further notice
• Fanning Springs-Fanning Springs Fire Department-Until further notice
• Rosewood-Rosewood Baptist Church-Until further notice
• Williston-Williston City Utility Building on SW 1st Street, close to the Police Dept
• Cedar Key- Corner of F street and 7th street-Until further notice

Closures:

• Cedar Key City Hall and Office of Water and Sewer closing at 2pm today
• Tax Collector has cancelled all driving tests for Wednesday
• Cedar Key Airport closed at 6pm today until 12pm Wednesday
• Devils Hammock gates will close at 5pm today and will reopen Thursday at 8am
• Levy County Transit buses will not run on Wednesday

Storm Surge: Storm surge values have not changed significantly. Areas along the coast need to prepare for up to 6ft MSL, or even the possibility of it being a bit higher, starting on Wednesday morning

Watches and Warnings: A storm surge warning is in effect for coastal areas. A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for all Levy County and a Hurricane Watch is in effect for areas directly on the coast

Wind: All of Levy County needs to prepare for periods of high wind of 40-60mph with winds getting stronger as you get closer to the coast. Wind timing can expect to start later tonight into the very early hours of Wednesday.

Emergency Alerts: Residents and visitors should make sure that they are signed up for emergency alerts by visiting our website at levydisaster.com or texting ALERTLEVY to 888777. Emergency alerts are likely to begin early today.

Public Information: Public Information lines are open at 352-486-5155 and 352-486-5576

Evacuations and Sheltering: No evacuations are in place and sheltering operations are not anticipated, however residents and visitors should closely monitor our sites and their local news provider in case that changes.
