Last night, another gun was stolen in Cedar Key, the third in eight days.  

The Cedar Key News previously reported, in error, that a third car was stolen.

Police Chief Virgil Sandlin reminds  residents not to aid the opportunists: 

be careful, lock up (cars, houses, sheds), and take valuables inside. 

We in Cedar Key are certainly mirroring the problems experienced in larger cities. 

Please, do not add to a thief's advantage and, resultantly, endanger  your neighbors.
