Services for Ida Belle Davis

Mrs. Ida Belle Davis

Ida Belle Wadley Davis, a lifelong resident of Cedar Key, died Saturday in her home surrounded by her family. She was 83.

Mrs. Davis was born in Cedar Key in 1921 and graduated from Cedar Key High School in 1940. She worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 44 years. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, R.B. Davis, a commercial fisherman and long-time Levy County Commissioner and city official.

Survivors include her son, Mike Davis of Cedar Key; two daughters, Frances English of Livonia, MI, and Landa Allen of Cedar Key; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are under the care of Hiers-Baxley funeral home in Chiefland.

Funeral services will be held at Christ Episcopal Church in Cedar Key at 2 p.m. on Wednesday June 30th with Father Jack Watson conducting.
