Whooping Cranes Begin Annual Migration to Florida

The whooping cranes are on their way! This year`s group of 14 juvenile cranes took off yesterday morning (Sunday, October 10, 2004) on the first leg of their migratory journey to their new winter home at Chassahowitzka National Wildlife Area south of Crystal River.
