Katrina in Cedar Key Update

Contrary to a report in a regional newspaper, Cedar Key had no flooding or other problems associated with Hurricane Katrina. As of noon Tuesday storm surge had been no higher than three feet above normal tide level. There was no wind damage. There have been a few rain squalls, but not a significant accumulation of rain.
