City Seeks Paving Bids

INVITATION TO BID

The City of Cedar Key will be accepting sealed bids for paving city streets until Tuesday, December 6, 2005 at 4:00 PM.

The work consists of furnishing all equipment, labor, and material to install approximately 9362 S.Y. of Base Course and 9362 S.Y. of Bituminous Paving on various streets as designated by the City of Cedar Key.

1. Included in the proposal shall be a price per square yard of bituminous pavement in place over the existing pavement.

2. Include in the proposal shall be a price per square yard to excavate as necessary, furnish, and place all material for a minimum six inch base course under the pavement, in those areas where required by the City Commission.

• Base Course to be a minimum of 6" thick, and compacted in place.

• Bituminous paving to be minimum of 1 ½" thick, and placed and compacted in one lift.

• All work to be done in a timely, workmanlike manner.
