NOTICE OF QUASI-JUDICIAL HEARING

PETITION FOR A CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS; A PARKING VARIANCE; FLOOD PROTECTION AND ELEVATION VARIANCE; A CROSS VISIBILITY TRIANGLE VARIANCE AND DEVELOPMENT PLAN APPROVAL

Notice is hereby given that a Quasi-Judicial hearing will be conducted by the Cedar Key City Commission, on September 18, 2007 at 7 pm, in the City Hall at 490 Second Street, Cedar Key, Florida, to hear and act upon a request for a certificate of appropriateness in accordance with the requirements of §3.01.04, a request for a variance regarding the parking requirements of §6.03.02, a request for a variance regarding the flood protection and elevation requirements of § 6.07.05A.2 in accord with §6.07.04D, a request for a variance regarding the cross visibility standards of §6.02.04 and development plan approval in accordance with §12.02.04. All articles listed are referenced from the Laws of Cedar Key, Chapter 4.

The request is for demolition of the existing Cedar Key United Methodist Church Faith Center Buildings (Formerly Salty's Plaza) and approval for a new addition to the church building.

Additional information may be obtained at City Hall, 490 Second Street, Cedar Key, Florida, during normal business hours. All interested persons are urged to attend this Hearing. Comments may be forwarded to the City of Cedar Key, P.O. Box 339, Cedar Key, Florida 32625, or bring them to the Office of the City Clerk at City Hall in Cedar Key, Florida.

If any person decides to appeal the decision of the Commission with respect to any matter considered at said Public Hearing, he or she will need a record of the proceedings and may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made. Such record must include the testimony and evidence upon which the Appeal is to be based.
