The Dolphin Girls Welcome You

ANNOUNCEMENT

Research Adventures: The Pleasures and Perils of Bottlenose Dolphin Research in Cedar Key

University of Massachusetts graduate student Stefanie Gazda and her two assistants, Sarah Hosford and Olivia Harries, have been living in Cedar Key for nearly 6 months. They invite you to come to a talk about Cedar Key dolphins and why they are so spectacular compared to other bottlenose dolphin populations in the world. Learn not only about their research experiences but about their adventures battling skinny water, oyster bars, unmarked channels, crab pots, and general boat mishaps.

The talk will be held Thursday, December 4 at 5:00 pm at the Cedar Key Library upstairs meeting room.

Following the talk, everyone is invited to gather at 6:30 p.m. at Frog`s Landing for a wonderful buffet of hors d`oeurves generously provided for us by Frog`s. A cash bar will be available.

The "Dolphin Girls" would like to thank the people who have been nice to them during their stay--the entire population of Cedar Key. Come and enjoy the the food and comaraderie.
