Obituary

Fred E. Alford passed away July 28, 2010 after an accident. He was 33 years old. He was born in Gainesville, Florida and lived his entire life in this area.

He was an electrician for Hinote Electric in Chiefland. He graduated from Cedar Key High School in 1996. He enjoyed fishing, bluegrass music, children, family and friends and playing jokes on others. He was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother. His greatest joy in life was to help others.


He is survived by his wife, Missy Cooper Alford; two daughters, Nicole, age 12, and Aubriann, age 7; his mother, Adrian Alford of Chiefland; brother and sister-in-law, Patrick and Marcie Alford of Floral City; a sister and brother-in-law, Janet and Billy Hinote of Chiefland; mother-in-law, Nettie Bozeman; nephews and nieces Ryan Hinote, Amanda and Lonnie Hinote, Madison Hinote, Sarah and Logan Alford, Shearee and Naaman Cooper; grandfather Marion Polk; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and greats. He was preceded in death by Grandpa Peachman and Granny Nellie Alford and his father, Lonnie Emanuel Alford.


Visitation will be Friday, July 30, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. at the Hiers-Baxley Funeral Home Chapel in Chiefland and burial will be at the graveside at Cedar Key Cemetery on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at 11 a.m.
