Refuge Bird Walk on Monday, January 10

Friends of the Lower Suwannee and Cedar Keys National Wildlife Refuges

January 10th Bird Walk in the Lower Suwannee Wildlife Refuge

For wannabes and old hands, come birding with our intrepid birders on Monday, January 10th. On the first Monday of each month we select a place in the Lower Suwannee and Cedar Key Wildlife Refuges to see whatever birds are around and to enjoy the outdoors. Plant lovers enjoy these outings as well.

This month we will do a driving and stopping kind of exploration so that folks who are not up to fairly long walks will have an opportunity to participate. To make it even more sociable, we will meet for breakfast at Gail`s in Old Town at 8:30 and then depart around 9 AM.

Our tour will take us to Yellow jacket loop road, Beaver Dam Road and Weeks Landing Road in the Northern most part of the Refuge. These are all off of CR 349. Call Joyce Tarnow at 352/498-2886 for further details.
