Cedar Key TNR

Doreen and Oliver Bauer

Two young local girls, Tiqvah and Tahlia Cooke, picked trash off the streets of Cedar Key with me for 4 hours from Gulf Blvd through various parts of town to work off the cost of having their kitty spayed and vaccinated through our local volunteer TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) program CEDAR KEY TNR.

Their kitty was the 750th Cedar Key Cat to be spayed/neutered/vaccinated through TNR.

I would also like to add that I would love to help the local kids earn credit by trash picking the island with me to make it a cleaner healthier environment for all living creatures.

FYI- Cedar Key just had an incredible article write up about our volunteer community TNR efforts in Animal Sheltering Magazine put out by Humane Society of United States. After visiting us in person and seeing our cat world first hand they want to do a follow-up story as well.
