Obituary

Douglas "Doug" A. Booth, Jr, 42, of Chiefland, passed away Sept. 11, 2011. Doug was born June 12, 1969 in Hillsborough County, FL. He was a commercial fisherman in Cedar Key and a member of the Oyster Association of Cedar Key. He enjoyed walking the island, being on the water and his houseboat. He collected arrowheads. He was most proud of and enjoyed spending time with his wife, kids and family.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Billie Jo Booth of Chiefland, daughters Shelby Semple of IN, Summer Booth and son Robert Kint, both of Chiefland, his mother, Shirley (Guy) Anderson of Old Town, sister Shirlene Booth Allen of Cedar Key, brother Anthony Phillips of Chiefland and his many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Douglas Albert Booth, Sr.

Graveside services will be Wed. Sept. 14 at 2:00 PM at Antioch Cemetery in Chiefland with Guy Anderson officiating. Visitation will be at the cemetery one hour prior to the service.
