Joyce Coones

Joyce Coones, 88, of Chiefland passed away Sept. 13, 2011 at Williston Rehab and Nursing in Williston. She was born in Otter Creek on Oct. 10, 1922 to James and Iona Sheppard and spent her life in this area. She was a homemaker and also worked as a restaurant cook and was a member of the Chiefland Church of Christ.
She is survived by her sons, Albert Junior (Jane) Moody of Trenton and Fred (Ann) Moody of Chiefland, her sister Marie Jordon of Gainesville, 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Chiefland Cemetery with Pastor Travis Moody officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mrs. Coones memory to the building fund at Union Baptist Church, 6259 SE 75th Ave., Newberry, FL 32669
