Ken Sanders

Obituary

Ken Sanders, 66 of Cedar Key, passed away Jan. 11, 2012 at Haven Hospice of the Tri Counties in Chiefland. He was born in Pensacola to Bracy and Mary Sanders. Ken was a 1972 Engineering graduate of the University of Florida. He proudly served his country in the US Army during Viet Nam, receiving a Bronze Star. He was a member of the Lions Club and the VFW in Alabama. He was as an Engineer/Manager for International Paper, Proctor and Gamble, Union Camp and Scott Paper. After retirement he went into Real Estate in Cedar Key and in Clermont. Family hunting trips and traveling were his hobbies but Ken is best known for his dedication to his family.


He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Faye Sanders of Cedar Key, sons Guy (Stacey) Sanders of Clermont, and Ty Sanders of Laredo, TX, sister Mary Ann Parker of Christmas, FL, brothers Robert Sanders of Land O Lakes, Merrill Sanders and Gene Sanders both of the Philippines and 4 grandchildren.


Graveside services will be at Cedar Key Cemetery on Sat. Jan 14, 2012 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Clark Reichert officiating.
