Candidate Q and A Hosted in Cedar Key

ANNOUNCEMENT

All 12 candidates in this November`s election attended Tuesday night`s Candidates Forum, sponsored by Cedar Key News and the Cedar Key Lion`s Club.
Introductions were made by Lion and City Commissioner, Dale Register and the moderator was Dr. Earl Starnes, of Cedar Key.

There were about 75 people in attendance, including many Lions, as well as, supporters of candidates - some sporting tee-shirts proclaiming their dedication to their particular person.

Candidates included:
Chris Cowart (of Cedar Key) and Kyle Quincy for Levy County School Board; John Meeks and Jamie Griffin for County Commissioner District 1; Al Macri and Mike Joyner (whose son Scooter spoke on his behalf. The elder Joyner was absent, due to a schedule conflict); Cindy Roach and Robert Hastings for School Board Superintendant; Danny Shipp and Wilbur Dean for Clerk of Court; and Bobby McCallum and Lee Sullivan for Sheriff.

Promises were made; promises may, or may not, be kept. Stay tuned to the Cedar Key News for more information before election day in November.
