LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS - FULL OF OUR MULTITALENTED CEDAR KEY FOLK!

by CKN Staff Reporter

It seems that three of our own Cedar Keyans lead at least two intriguing and successful lives - as Kirkpatrick Marine Laboratory staff and as upcoming theater professionals. These individuals will perform in the 1060`s humorous rock musical, Little Shop of Horrors, at the newly renovated Chief Theatre on 25 East Park Avenue in Chiefland on March 1-3 and March 7-10.

- Tiffany Black works as a crustaceans biologist at the Kirkpatrick Marine Laboratory. In this acting debut, Black`s character is a "doo-wop" girl, Ronnett, who, in effect, narrates the play with two other girls. Black was charmed and cajoled by the Marine Lab`s Jennifer Saranzak to "do something different" and "make some fun, if temporarily stressful, memories."

- Laura Blanton functions as an administrative assistant at the lab. Blanton performs three complex roles as the Little Shop`s assistant director, music director, and during the show, stage manager.

- Jennifer Saranzak works as the lab`s environmental specialist who, among other tasks, teaches fishing to children and women in outreach programs. Saranzak plays Audrey, the love interest of the main character, Seymour.
