How to Apply for a Job or Unemployment Benefits Locally

Laura Byrnes

If you are out of work, on unemployment, and or looking for work, a mobile resource unit is avaialble to you in Cedar Key. Mobile Resource Unit`s next visit to Cedar Key, will be on Wednesday, March 20 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Cedar Key Library, 460 Second St. Kevin Harrison will be there to help applicants and he is there every month.

The MRU is a great alternative to driving into Chiefland to go to our one-stop center to get help finding a job. Kevin can provide one-on-one assistance with resumes, getting folks registered with the Employ Florida Marketplace and searching/applying for job openings among other things. Also, anyone who has to apply for five jobs/week or otherwise file an Unemployment Compensation claim can do so on the MRU.

Lots of valuable FREE services.
