Two Visitors Arrested

Immediately following a routine traffic stop for a headlight violation Saturday night, two passengers in the stopped car allegedly refused to cooperate with Cedar Key Police. According to Sergeant Vernon Hammock, the riders were arrested and transported to the Levy County Jail.


Jonathan Brent Davis, 23, was charged with resisting arrest without violence. He allegedly refused to identify himself at the request of a police officer. Davis` companion, Veronica Robleto 23, allegedly refused to stay in the car, and eventually was charged with being drunk and disorderly, resisting arrest without violence and obstruction of justice. Davis and Robleto live on a sailboat, and have stopped in Cedar Key for an extended visit.
