13 September 1858 - Thomas N. Clyatt, Levy County Judge of Probate, ordered John L. Wester and William H. Driggers to make an inventory and appraisement of the estate of Levi Wright, late of Levyville. Among the items in the listed were: a Lapene gold watch and chain which sold to William McCall for $55.00; a silver watch which sold to James S. Turner for $3.05; a writing desk which sold to McCall for $2.15; one lot of pocket books which sold to McCall for 40¢; a self locking truck which sold to McCall for $6.50; and a pocket flask which sold to Driggers for 40¢. Wright also had $60.00 in bank bills and gold and silver amounting to $231.45.

04 May 1897 - At a special meeting of the Levy County Board of County Commissioners bids for proposals to build the Otter Creek bridge were opened. The bids were are follows: T.J. Yearty bid $49.50; John F. Collins bid $36.00; M.Phelps bid $39.00; W.A. Easter bid $92.00; and W.S. Bunch bid $90.00. The lowest bidder being John F. Collins, the contract was awarded to him for the said sum of $36.00 and he was required to give bond in the sum of $72.00 to complete said bridge within 45 days from today.

1923 September 20 - From the Levy County News. The City Council of Williston met in special session last Monday night for the purpose of framing a budget for the coming year. The budget this year calls for $9,000 and is to be passed at the regular meeting in about two weeks.
