Clint Eagar was brought up in South Africa surrounded by beautiful landscapes, mountains, animals, and the ocean. Eagar says, “I am inspired lately by nature’s Brilliance and beauty we must protect.” Eagar states he will be attending wildlife conservation shows and will be focused on painting some of the conservation subjects. His wish is to have some of the proceeds to go toward this global effort.

As a life long surfer, Eagar likes loves anything related to surf and oceans, as do many. Eagar loves ALL colors, as one can tell from his different styles of work. He often works with many coastal palettes. Eagar enjoys the flexibility of being an artist. He paints fine art, seascapes, animals, cars, plans, abstracts, fish, fashion and/or florals.

He is constantly looking for creative avenues to explore. Attendees had a sample of his variety in the opening. His show included acrylic painting, prints, statues, functional home décor and resin. Eager states, “I even torch my own glass.”

He states he has been concentrating lately on realistic works. He is also inspired to create works in connection with what is happening in his life. Eagar recently returned from a safari in Tanzania. So we can be expecting some big game art soon.

Carol Bowman and daughter, Julie Bowman Williams, began coming to Cedar Key in 2008. Julie and her mother started spending creative time in Cedar Key. Their pastels on display at the Cedar Key Art Center are all places in Cedar Key. This is the second show for the Bowman’s in the member’s gallery. The first show was in 2014. Come visit the Bowman collection and see if you can tell where the works represent in Cedar Key.
