The Cedar Key Community Redevelopment Agency met on April 17, 2025, at 5 pm at City Hall. In attendance were: Chair Jim Wortham, and CRA Commissioners Jolie Davis, Jeff Webb, and Mel Beckham. Member Nancy Sera was not in attendance.
The next CRA meeting is scheduled for May 1, at 5 pm, at City Hall.
MEETING GOALS
Articulated by Chair Wortham, the evening’s goals were to:
• finalize the Cedar Key CRA Business Recovery and Resiliency Grants document;
• finalize the Grant Application Scoring Process;
• review the list of Cedar Key Projects.

GRANT DOCUMENT
Jolie Davis and Jeff Webb reported that they were not prepared to approve the grant document. The group spoke of:
• suggestions that they had made to Administrator Ankersen;
• the grant-designated “pots” of grant dollars, how to label those pots, and what percentage of the total dollars ought to be placed in each;
• altering the grant application scoring rubric located within the document; and
• how to define an “essential business.”

• The CRA approved spending $29,750 on: bike stands, seven benches on A and D Streets, tire bumpers in the Marina parking lot, public drinking water stands, and trash cans.
• The agency set aside $200,000 to pay for the bulkheads to be constructed at the three pocket parks adjoining Whitman Point and Seahorse Landing.
