On a beautiful Friday morning, 10 Cedar Key Garden Club members walked a guided tour at the Shell Mound trail. The guides for the trip were Russ and Peg Hall who expertly discussed Shell Mound’s history and the important plants found in the area. The enjoyable walk was followed by lunch at the Treasure Camp on the Suwannee River.
The next Cedar Key Garden Club outing will be on Monday, March 14. We will take a boating cruise around the islands and be guided by Dr. Savanna Barry of the Nature Coast Biological Station. A free box lunch will be served on Seahorse Key. Contact Joe Hand (This email address is being protected from spambots.
