JOB TRAINING FOR 16–24-YEAR-OLDS

Eckerd Connects Workforce Development and CareerSource Citrus Levy Marion County have teamed up to provide services to help local youth ages 16-24 overcome barriers to employment. They offer training in basic job skills and financial literacy, the chance to earn certifications as well as assistance with resume writing and interview skills. The opportunity to earn a GED or High School Diploma is offered at no cost. In fact, participants have the chance to earn cash incentives for hitting milestones in the program and earn a possible paid-work-experience to help them build their resumes.
Beginning Monday, August 22, 2022, Cedar Key Library will host Levy County Young Adult Career Coaches who will provide guidance, training sessions and encouragement for possible enrollees. With transportation an issue for so many, having the ability to receive these services right here in our library is a great opportunity.
