Children’s Table Will Provide Hurricane Relief This Week

Children’s Table Will Provide Hurricane Relief This Week

Levy County, Florida -The Children`s Table Food Pantry will be open every day this week from 9:00am to noon to provide emergency non-perishable food as well as hot soup and sandwiches to any and all impacted by Hurricane Issac. The Food Pantry is located at 680 West Thrasher Drive in Bronson, Florida directly on Highway 24 east of Cedar Key.

"With all the rain we`ve had recently, lots of people have already been flooded out or close to it," said Bill Brown, co-founder of The Children`s Table. "This storm (Hurricane Issac) promises to dump even more water on us. Our mission is to feed hungry people and we want to help as many as we can." Local people impacted by the storm, as well as evacuees from other places and those passing through are welcome. "We`ll keep serving as long as the food holds out," Brown stated.

For more information, to volunteer or to donate to the cause, please call Bill or Verna Brown at (352) 486-6525. More information about The Children`s Table is also available on the website at www.childrenstable.org and on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/TheChildrensTable
