ANNOUNCEMENT

Local restaurant owners Edie and Joe, of Kona Joe`s Island Cafe were happily surprised this week when they opened up a big envelope from TripAdvisor.

Inside, they found a "Certificate of Excellence for the year of 2012" from the online business ranking site.

The restaurant, located on SR 24 between 4th and 5th Street, is regularly ranked the Number One restaurant in Cedar Key by TripAdvisor. Originally located on Dock Street, they relocated to their new location next to the Canvas Shop and their loyal customers follwed them to the new location.

Now instead of views of Aetsena Otie and fishing pier, they enjoy sunrises, boats and wildlife off the back porch.
