Jr. Class Goes Medieval

By Lauren Bartholemy, Shark Correspondent

Jesters, elephants, knife throwers, queens, and kings all where present as the junior class visited the Hoggetowne Medieval Fair. Held in Gainesville, the class was transported back in time for an exciting day January the 27th to explore the world of King Arthur.

The trip was an out of school trip, planned by the students and chaperoned by the Junior Class Sponsor, Cheryl Allen. The field trip was done to conduct research in order to learn about the dress, food, and customs of the Medieval Times for their upcoming fundraiser- a medieval feast and entertainment. The event will be held at the end of February-(date not yet confirmed)- from 6-8. The price is not yet determined and will be advertised to the public as soon as possible.

The Jr. Class included Lauren Bartholemy, Mikayla Pope, Brooke Allen, Caitlin Goss, Bobby Trammell and Vince Bullard. Other members of the class were unable to participate due to scheduling conflicts.

Cedar Key School 2013 Homecoming- A Night to Remember

Sarah Bartholemy, Shark Correspondent

Homecoming is officially over and the sharks are adjusting back into their regular schedule. With a new King, Austin Pope, and Queen, Haley Simpson, the students are set for another year. The Middle School Boys and Girls basketball teams as well as the Varsity Girls played battled hard for victories but unfortunately did not win against Branford. The varsity boys did achieve a win against the Branford Bucs last Friday, which was followed by the Cheerleader`s dance routine. Senior Molly Gordon said "My last homecoming was a success and I have memories that I`ll never forget."
