In the MAG: Sarah Westenberg: A Textile Retrospective, `Art and Soul`. Sarah`s creative journey began in 1977 with making a single quilt, which then blossomed into wearable art. Sarah`s creative outlet was enhanced by taking watercolor classes at the Cedar Key Art Center in 2000. The preparation for her show has resulted in a spiritual journey of sorts, allowing her to re-examine her life through the different phases of her life and art. Through Sarah`s textiles, she hopes to inspire other women; other artists. "My clothes inspire my art, my art is what I wear," says Sarah. Anyone who has ever seen the stylish Sarah knows that statement is very, very true.
