Suwannee Valley Players Presents "Little Shop of Horrors" Beginning 3/1

ANNOUNCEMENT

Suwannee Valley Players announces opening of their Spring Production of Little Shop of Horrors, the next production in our thirtieth season.

Little Shop of Horrors, a 1960`s rock musical. Books and lyrics by Howard Ashman, with music by Alan Menken. It`s based on the film by Roger Corman, Screenplay by Charles Griffith.

In the play, Seymour Krelbourn (Dalton Pitts-McCallum) is a poor young man working at a run-down flower shop, owned by his "provider", Mr. Mushnk (Terry Wines), and located on skid row. One day while looking for new and exotic plants he encounters a new and never before undiscovered new plant species; the plant is actually an alien plant, found by Seymour after a total eclipse of the sun. After bringing the plant to the store, he gains fame, fortune, and the love of Audrey (Jennifer Saranzak), the beautiful flower shop cashier. Soon, however, he discovers the plant feeds on human blood. Seymour is faced with a moral dilemma, continue to feed the plant blood, or face losing the only love he has ever wanted. What decision will Seymour make? Will he loose the girl of his dreams? Will he give it all up to save humanity or sacrifice humanity to gain his own happiness?
