CEDAR KEY’S STATE MUSEUM OFFERS FOUR-WEEK WINDOW FOR SPRING CLEANING

CEDAR KEY’S STATE MUSEUM OFFERS FOUR-WEEK WINDOW FOR SPRING CLEANING

By Jean Rigg, Cedar Key News correspondent

February 23, 2013 - Always among the larger of local yard sales, this year`s annual two-day St. Clair Whitman House Yard Sale will take place on Saturday and Sunday, March 23 and 24. Proceeds from the yard sale, on the grounds of the Cedar Key State Museum State Park, support the upkeep of the Park`s Whitman House.

The Friends of Cedar Key State Parks` announcement, under the banner "SPRING CLEANING? DONATE THOSE EXCESS TREASURES," is timed to provide spring cleaners a good month in which to search closet and shed.

Over the next four weeks, excess treasures may be dropped off at the State Museum, 12231 SW 166th Court in Cedar Key. Pick up can be arranged by calling 543-5350.
