20 or more local Cedar Key Pirates in Paradise invaded the home of Bryan and Darlene Skarupski on Andrews Circle where they feasted on the finest Italian-style cuisine ever brought to a potluck dinner. As usual there was an abundance of food and fun at their monthly dinner. The Pirates are proud of their self-inflicted label as "an eating group with a pirate problem," This month`s event was billed as the April Sunset Celebration, Fashion Show, and Italian Food Feast. On the first Monday of each month the Pirates get together to eat and enjoy each other`s company. Any business they have to discuss is always concluded in five minutes, or less; or less the speaker be keel hauled. Agreement on the topic at hand was met with a hearty "Arrrgh!" Before settling in to eat the delicious meal, some of the Pirates modeled Cedar Key pirate garb. Tasked at the March celebration with coming up with a unique Cedar Key pirate look. The Pirate fashionistas made bold statements with their topical and funky designs. Anna Hodges` hat design with a distinct clam farming theme was the hit of the show when she described how she made it from items that included clam shells, cable ties, rope, and purple clam bag material. The next Pirate meet and eat will be on Monday May 6th or Seis de Mayo. The food theme will be from south of the border. The Pirates invite everyone to pirate with them. There are no membership rules or dues. The location is yet to be determined but will announced soon on the Cedar Key Pirates in Paradise Facebook page. Anna Hodges' award winning hat design
