Cedar Key School Clubs Prepare for the Spring Arts Festival

Cedar Key School clubs will be setting up various stations at the Cedar Key Seafood Festival on April 13th and 14th. The proceeds from the Arts Festival will go to support the following clubs:

FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America)- Hot Dogs

Jr. Class- Clam Fritters, Safety Patrol- Bottled Water

Track- Root beer Floats

FFEA (Future Educators of America)- Funnel Cakes

FFA (Future Farmers of America)- Fish Sandwiches

Journalism- Smoked Mullet

The Seafood Festival is a major fundraiser for Cedar Key Clubs. Please remember to join in the festivities and support Cedar Key School!

The Junior Class Prepares for Prom

Spring break is over for the students of Cedar Key School and the transition back into school has been busier than ever. The Junior Class is in full swing preparing for Prom and the Spring Arts Festival.

With prom preparations starting this month, the Junior Class have ordered decorations and put plans in motion. Keeping the prom theme a secret has always been a tradition at Cedar Key School and this year the Junior Class`s lips are sealed tighter than ever. Fundraisers began at the beginning of the year and will continue at the Arts Festival with the sale of clam fritters. The class is ready to face the month head on and take prom to a new level.

Sharks Head to Track Districts

The Cedar Key Track Team participated in the Cedar Key Relay Meet on March 21st. Both boys and girls placed second overall at the meet.

Chloe Reynolds and Kevin Carswell were the high scorers for Cedar Key with a total of 14 points each. The boy`s final score overall was 80 points and the girl`s final score was 72 points. The team will participate in the district meet on April 11th and then advance to regional`s later this month.
