SEA TOW TO THE RESCUE!

SEA TOW TO THE RESCUE!

by CKN Staff Reporter

A de Havilland Beaver amphibian aircraft, a single engine, high wing, propeller driven, short take-off and landing aircraft, was ably shepherded through the channels at Cedar Key by Carl Robinson`s Sea Tow craft and docked temporarily at the Cedar Key Marina yesterday evening at approximately 7:30PM. While briefly docked, the occupants, after conferring with Police Chief Virgil Sandlin and Fire Chief and Emergency Management Director Robert Robinson, moored their aircraft near Old Fenimore Mill and Cedar Cove.

The de Havilland Beaver`s two occupants, travelling from Key West to Ketchikan, Alaska, safely set their craft down after experiencing engine failure. Neither was injured.
