Meet the Pirates: Krewe of the South Shore Marauders

Meet the Pirates: Krewe of the South Shore Marauders

Submitted by CKPP Correspondent

The Krewe of the South Shore Marauders calls the Tampa Bay area their home port. They are a band of fun loving, civic minded, environmentally conscientious individuals whose mission is one of common good to all, loyalty, trustworthy fellowship and mutual camaraderie. Their stated goal is to promote goodwill in the Tampa Bay area.

The Marauders support numerous charitable events and organizations. Through their 501(3)(C) foundation, they provide scholarships to deserving students at local high schools. These busy pirates also support local charitable causes such as the Manatee Arts Festival, Coastal Clean-ups, and the Breast Cancer Walk. As if that wasn`t enough, they also work with national organizations such as the American Red Cross, American Cancer Society, Locks of Love, and the SPCA.

Look for members of the Krewe of the South Shore Marauders at the Cedar Key Pirate Invasion Weekend in their distinctive silver, blue, and black, highly brocaded silk pirate garb.
