ANNOUNCEMENT

DONATE YOUR USED CELL PHONES AND INK JET CARTIRDGES

Please donate your used cell phones and inkjet cartridges to help raise much needed funds for our Trap-Neuter-Return program in Cedar Key.

Faraway Inn is collecting cell phones and inkjet cartridges through November 25, 2009 for the purpose of getting our stray island cats spayed/neutered and vaccinated. Faraway Inn will receive money from Phoneraiser for each item collected during this fundraiser. Phoneraiser is a company that specializes in recycling and refurbishing used technology.

Your donation will help to protect the environment. Your unwanted cell phones and inkjet cartridges will be recycled in accordance with EPA regulations or refurbished and reused. Phoneraiser makes your un-needed technology available to those who can use it, while keeping it out of the landfill. If improperly disposed of, the cell phone can pollute up to 132,000 liters of drinking water.

Donations may be tax deductible.

"We`re very excited about this program," say Faraway Inn owners Oliver and Doreen Bauer. "This recycling program not only benefits our TNR program but assists in preserving the environment and bringing communications to people who can not otherwise afford it."

All cell phones and inkjet cartridges accepted. Leave cell phones intact with battery. Remove any sensitive or private information. Make sure your service on the cell phone is disconnected. During the recycling/re-use process all information is automatically erased.

Please donate at the following locations:

Faraway Inn located at Third and G Street or Cedar Key Market located at hwy 24 and Third Street
