Funds From Gun Class Will Help Slain Deputy`s Family

ANNOUNCEMENT

Residents will have an opportunity to qualify for their Florida Concealed Weapons Permit while helping out a Dixie County family whose head and breadwinner was killed in the line of duty recently.

The Levy County Sheriff`s Office will hold the Basic Pistol Class as a fundraiser for the family of Dixie County Deputy Capt. Chad Reed, who was shot January 14 by a man wanted for shooting four people, two of them fatally, earlier that day. Capt. Reed left a wife and two children.

The Basic Pistol Class will be held on Saturday, February 6 at 8 A.M. at the Levy County Sheriff`s Office classroom at 9150 NE 80th Ave., Bronson. The cost of the class is $65.
