Benefit Account Set Up for Sue Colson and Family

Benefit Account Set Up for Sue Colson and Family

ANNOUNCEMENT

Cedar Key News has learned an account has been set up at the Drummond Community Bank in the name of Sue Colson, Cedar Key City Commissioner, who underwent extensive cancer surgery today in Gainesville. The surgery went smoothly, according to information given to Cedar Key News.

According to city official Greg Lang, the account is to give financial support to Sue`s family to help defray the cost of medical and family expenses related to her illness. Specifically, family members need money for gas and expenses that will enable them to be with Sue as she recuperates.

She is recovering from today`s surgery, and, following a 5-7 days hospital stay, she will undergo extensive and aggressive post-operative treatment.

The family has received many food items; so much, in fact, they no longer have room to refrigerate the donations. Therefore, before offering such items, it is recommended to check with the family as to their current needs. They will need our prayers and support in order to cope with the emotional and financial factors of this illness.
