ANNOUNCEMENT

The Cedar Key News is in want of news. Let me explain by saying that the Cedar Key News (CKN) is a news organization "By, For, and Of the People" who care about Cedar Key. It is a non-profit organization who`s primary goal is to provide local news or news that affects Cedar Key, both immediately (on the website) and in the biweekly free print edition. As a non-profit news organization "By, For, and Of the People", CKN does not employ any Staff Reporters, and has instead relied upon the greater Cedar Key Community to provide news stories.

With that said, CKN is putting out this broadcast request for news stories that are "By, For, and Of the People" who care about Cedar Key. So if you want to be a part of providing news to the readers both online and in print of the CKN, please submit your news.

CKN has made it quite simple to submit a news story:
1. Write your Story on any Text Editing Software (ie, MS Word, TextEdit)
2. Include Author Name and Title (or CKN will create Title)
3. Select any relevent digital Images/photos (**Images Not Nesseccary)
4. Attach text file (*.docx, *.txt ...) and any digital images/photos to an email
5. Send email to cedarkeynews@gmail.com

Please know that all stories will be subject to editorial review, and that submission of a story does not guarantee that the story will make it either online or into the print edition. However, if your story is posted online or is inserted in the print edition, You the author/reporter and not CKN will be given credit for the story.

*** For complete description of CKN policy please click the "policy" link under the "Departments" menu of the CKN website.
