Levy County Democrats

The Levy County Democratic Executive Committee met to deal with upcoming election issues.

The main concern was to elect delegates to the National convention. Delegates from Florida will be nominated by local committee people or state officials.
This promises to be a busy season, with county, school board and judges up for election. the deadline for filing is June, with the primary in August.
At this time, 25 people have filed for elected office. Some of them are incumbents, but three people have thrown their hat into the race for Sheriff.
Some of the activities which will take place will include voter registration, yard signs, and a grassroots fundraiser. Any interested persons please contact your executive committee chair.

A possible candidates forum was discussed.

The organization meets the second Tuesday of each month at the Bronson Restaurant at 6 pm.
