CPR CLASSES / AED TRAINING IN CEDAR KEY?

CPR CLASSES / AED TRAINING IN CEDAR KEY?

Robert Robinson

We need your help. The Cedar key Fire Department has taken on a project to provide CPR & AED training for the citizens of Cedar Key. We would like to educate as many Cedar Key citizens with these life saving techniques as possible. These classes will be taught through the American Heart Association in Cedar Key by fire personnel. This project is not to raise money but to educate. There will be a minimum charge for each class. This will cover the cost of the CPR cards and paper work. Our goal is to help save lives.

Our problem, we do not have the funds in our budget to buy the training equipment with includes CPR manikins (adult & infant), an AED trainer and supplies. The cost of these supplies will run about $2,000. The fire department has already spent an additional $500.00 out of our budget for the manuals and training for the instructor. The Lions Club of Cedar Key has been gracious enough to donate $500.00 toward this project. We still need the additional $1,500.00 to cover the remaining costs. We are asking for civic organizations and citizens to consider donating to this worthwhile cause. Any individual donating $25.00 or more will be offered the class free of charge for your first certification.

We appreciate any consideration given to this project. Thank you for your support.
