LADIES IN THE NEWS!

LADIES IN THE NEWS!

Amy Gernhardt

The CEDAR KEY WOMAN`S CLUB ladies have also been busy lovingly making a king size PATRIOTIC QUILT honoring all the branches of the military.

With the help of the staff at the local Capitol City Bank where the quilt was displayed, the ticket sales were GREAT! The raffle for the quilt was on May 8th at the CKWC`s last luncheon meeting before their summer "break"!

The winner of the Patriotic Quilt was Marie Evans of Cedar Key! The $500 plus, from the quilt raffle will also be donated to the Gainesville Fisher House Foundation to assist in meeting the continuing needs of the families who arrive at the Fisher House.

The CKWC will be fundraising in the fall and into 2013 to assist the Fisher House with keeping the facility stocked with food as well as towels and bedding, and whatever the needs are for the families utilizing the Gainesville facility.

Our support won`t stop-it will be a continuous effort on behalf of the club------and remember, Cedar Key residents utilizing the VA in Gainesville, will be eligible to stay at the house FREE of charge while using the VA Medical Center for treatment.

The CEDAR KEY WOMAN`S CLUB is very proud to SUPPORT OUR TROOPS, and the GAINESVILLE FISHER HOUSE!!!
