Group Kayak and Picnic Event

Group Kayak and Picnic Event

Peg Hall - National Wildlife Refuge System

WHEN: 10:00 Saturday, June 30

The Friends of the Lower Suwannee & Cedar Keys National Wildlife Refuges will hold a Group Paddle and Picnic in Cedar Key. All are welcome. Bring your own kayak or rent one in town. Bring a lunch and we will gather after the paddle at the Cedar Key Park to eat together.

Atsena Otie Beach

We will meet at the Cedar Key beach at 10:00 and each pair up with one or two other paddlers to look out for each other during the trip. We will review the Friends Paddling Trail for Atsena Otie and paddle together to the Atsena Otie beach, then around through the cut and back to the Cedar Key beach.

The event is weather dependent. Email friends@friendsofrefuges.org to indicate your interest and give us a way to reach you if we need to cancel for weather reasons.

A downloadable version of the trail we will paddle is available at www.paddleLSCKrefuges.org. More information is on our website at www.friendsofrefuges.org.
