Tony`s Chowder launches into foodservice

Tony`s Chowder launches into foodservice

Kellie Parkin

Tony`s Three-Time World Champion Clam Chowder is launching into the food service industry this Friday, Aug 10 at the Florida Food Service annual summer Food Show in St. Augustine, Florida.

Tony`s Chowder is now available in cases of six 51oz cans, and is being distributed by Florida Food Service, Inc. and City Line Distributors in New England.

Tony`s Chowder fans can also order a case for themselves at www.tonyschowder.com.

For years diners have made the long trek to tiny Cedar Key, Florida to enjoy the World Champion Clam Chowder at Tony`s Seafood Restaurant. This new product changes the food industry significantly. Restaurants will now have access to an affordable, premium chowder with effortless storage and preparation, that is unlike anything currently available.

Tony`s owner and chef Eric Jungklaus is proud to certify this product to be as close to his kitchen-made product that could ever be made available. "Tony`s canned product has all of the flavor profile that so many folks around the world have known and loved for years," he said. "In fact, Tony`s canned chowder has over twice the clams of any other product of its type that is available on the market today. And the flavor profile which has always stood this chowder out from all the rest is every bit as delicious and memorable."

"Bold flavors, high quality offerings stand out," says Seafood Business Magazine`s July feature on Tony`s Chowder and the trend in foodservice soups and chowders.

Friday`s FFS Food Show at the Renaissance World Golf Village Resort is not open to the general public, but members of the press are invited to attend for Tony`s product launch. More than 175 restaurant owners and buyers have already confirmed their attendance, promising a very successful show. Contact Joel Tokar at Florida Food Service (352) 372-3514 for entry to the Food Show.
