A LIfe in Photographs

A LIfe in Photographs

Maureen Landress

This month, the Cedar Key Arts Center is featuring the photographic work of area artist Walter James. The opening and reception was held on Saturday November 2nd, and the exhibit will continue through the month of November.

Great Sand Dunes Colorado

The photographs reflect the skill and diversity of Walter James, from the exquisite simplicity of a hibiscus bloom, to the complexity of manned space flight. There are black and white images filled with texture and shadow, like a flock of rare white pelicans snapped in Cedar Key's backwater marshes. A dramatic sunset shot ensnares the brilliance of the end of a day. Another photograph, of the Great Sand Dunes of Colorado is captured in such perfection, you feel as if you could walk right into the image.

Rare White Pelicans

Take a moment this month to visit the Cedar Key Arts Center, and experience Walter James' artistry for yourself, it is a delight you shouldn't miss.
