Arts Center Opens Vibrant Show

Cedar Key Arts Center

A small, but energetic crowd enjoyed the opening of the Cedar Key Arts Center`s November gallery show last week. The fascinating display of art from all corners of the world was complemented by delicious appetizers during the reception.

Many thanks go to Marsha Schwartz, Gallery Committee Chairperson for the 2007/8 Season (pictured with Lee Rexroat), as well as the individuals who
generously agreed to share their collections with our community. In addition, thanks to Carol Pattillo,
Sue Seyfarth and Mike Leiner for working so hard to prepare the Gallery for a new season.

The exhibit will be showing all month, please stop by, we guarantee you will see some things you have never seen before.

The CKAC Sculpture Garden has continued to grow and we are looking forward to the formal dedication next spring. Not only is there a peaceful pond and fountain, but you will find additional sculptures around the grounds, and if you are so inclined, the garden is WiFi ready! Many volunteer hours have gone into making this vision a reality, and it is there for everyone to enjoy.

Next Month`s "Rock the Boat" Exhibit is just around the corner. This open community exhibit is always a highlight of the year. If you are interested in showing your work, registration forms are available at the Cedar Keyhole, upstairs in the studio area and on line at www.cedarkeyartscenter.org. Prizes will be given for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and "Peoples Choice." Mark your calendars and plan to join us at the reception, Saturday, December 1, 5-7pm.
